Who better to discuss the technicalities and uses of blogging than a site that hosts a ton of them? This article discusses blogging and how anyone can join in and start their own. The page remains light and easy to read while going into some pretty sophisticated specifics of blogging and managing a personal page. Though this page doesn’t hone in on big intangibles like (Now, let’s use our snobbish, official-sounding voice) “how blogging affects society,” it doesn’t something vital: it encourages a person to blog. How can a person appreciate the importance of blogging if they don’t try it themselves? The dark, scary world of blogging becomes a bit more accessible after reading an article like this.

your post made me laugh (insert laughing voice here) I agree with really everything you had to say about the article. It lays it out neat and pretty. As a new blogger myself (thank you ims 201) the terms were easy for me to understand, I guess the only opinion I can’t contribute is an advanced perspective if it was well written or had solid facts. I like how you said the importance of blogging by figuring it out for ourself. 1, because I think our generation is a lot about that. Hands on, especially with technology. I’m a lot more sitting down with a new computer program than my mom (not an inappropriate mom joke, actually my mom) and 2) it’s funny how I see the benefits of blogging by now doing it myself. Especially in learning my peers “voices” as they write and exploring the web more than just googling.
