yea, i have to agree with you here in that when you put your information out on the internet, you have to know that it can be rather insecure. putting information on your facebook that you don't want people to be able to acess is just stupid. i feel like there is a general rule of thumb about putting personal stuff on-line, where and how much is too much, but people who still continue to whine about privacy lacking and making them vulnerable frustrate me. it's not a great revelation that your internet information on a social networking site is public info.

plus, facebook has privacy controls for almost every aspect of itself that a majority of people ignore. perhaps those protesting the stalker qualities of facebook just need to check out what settings they are blowing off...?

also, i love rhett and link, enough to have even blogged about them on my own wordpress.

[...] Bergermj’s Weblog wrote an interesting post today on Facebook, Privacy, CommonsenseHere’s a quick excerpt … help but laugh at it’s serious tone, trying to make facebook out to be so evil…. Though I found this vid educational for some background info on facebook, I couldn’t…*GASP*) some organization has put out this video to scare people away from facebook….In this youtube vid, which is quite humorous I must say, we have a guy who loses his facebook account and instead, walks around the street, holding a profile pic a nd his information….
